Grau Roig – Pic Baix del Cubil

We will start from the El Cubil car park, where we will find a short uphill trail. From there, we will cross the ski slopes along a marked grassy path and head towards Estany Primer, where the refuge and restaurant/bar are located (km 1.2).

We will continue following the sign towards Pic Baix del Cubil. Along the piste, about 500 metres further on, on the right-hand side, we will find an opening in the fence bordering the slope, providing access to the meadow that leads to the Orri d’Ensenrera. We will continue in the same direction until we reach another track.

We will then follow the track until km 2.7, where we will take a path on the left. We will continue ascending gently and progressively and, at km 3.6, we will reach a junction that we will also take to the left.

At km 4.8 we will reach the top of the Cubil ski lift and, just after the small first-aid hut, we will leave the track and take the trail that, without interruption and tending to skirt the peak on the left, will first lead us to a weather station and then to the summit. From there, we will enjoy excellent panoramic views of the Pessons cirque, Pic Alt del Cubil, and the many lakes surrounding us.
