This 12.3 km route with 500 m of accumulated elevation gain starts at the Funicamp Tourist Office in Encamp. Although it does not feature major climbs or long technical sections, it includes some technical parts and short walking sections that classify it as a red-level (difficult) route.

We will begin the journey heading towards Canillo on the CG2 main road until we reach the Meritxell roundabout, passing by the Meritxell Sanctuary. From this point, we will tackle a short but steep climb that leads us to the village of Prats. Here, we will connect with the Camí del Canal, an impressive trail combining technical sections with some areas where walking will be required. These sections are brief but require preparation. The elevation gain in this part is moderate, both uphill and downhill.

The Camí del Canal leads us to the Cortals road (CS230). After a slight descent, we will reach the Les Pardines parking area. From here, you can access the Camí de les Pardines, a pleasant route leading to Engolasters Lake, which is perfect for a family outing.

To complete the route, we will continue descending along the Cortals road (CS230) until we return to the roundabout where the Funicamp Tourist Office is located, marking the end of the journey. Due to the winding nature of this mountain road, it is advisable to be cautious during the descent to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
