The route begins at the roundabout located at the exit of Encamp towards Els Cortals d’Encamp, with an initial demanding section reaching a 10.2% gradient. Gradually, the slope eases to 5.4% in the area of Les Bordes de Rígoder.

At the top of the pass lies the ski area of Grandvalira, set in a high-mountain environment that rewards the effort with wide panoramic views.

The area is also the starting point for activities such as the Clots de l’Aspra via ferrata, the Tibetan Bridge and the climbing wall. In addition, from here you can access the Funicamp to go up to Solanelles or comfortably descend to Encamp town centre.
