Return of the Neres from the Beixalís pass

Circular route with magnificent views of the Encamp valley

We will leave the parking area of the port of Beixalís, a place of reference for cycling thanks to being part of both the Tour de France and La Vuelta, and bordering point between the parishes of Ordino and Encamp.

This is an easy route to follow, with a well-milled path and good signage if we follow the indications of this review. It is a very shady route ideal for hot days.

We will start by the trail that starts just behind the monument dedicated to cycling. We will always continue yellow marks. Now in gentle descent we will arrive first to the Font de Mallol, with its picnic area and barbecues, and after crossing the road, km 3,8 we will continue the descent until we reach the GR, wider road that goes down to Ordino, and that we will take to the right to climb without respite to the port of Ordino.

We will cross the road and continue straight, crossing the meadow, until we find again the marks of the CI.

At the end of the meadow, we will find a stick that will show us the way of the Tomb de les Neres.

The trail with ups and downs will show us sporadically excellent views over Encamp and the valleys and mountains that surround it. We’ll get to a point where we must pass with caution, find some chains to hold on to. Right after, in a short stretch without marks, we will continue the left without gaining height. Soon after we will reach the viewpoint, where we will find a wooden bench if we want to rest and enjoy the views comfortably. We will turn right, upwards, following the sign of the indicator stick of the Camí del Tomb de les Neres. A few meters further forward we will find the path of the first climb we have made, we will turn left, down, and we will no longer leave the road until we reach the starting point again, the port of Beixalís.
