The conference will last about 30-40 minutes, and then there will be 30 minutes in which attendees can interact with Dr. Mariano Barriendos. In addition, the event will feature an introduction by the historian and archivist, Joan Lluís Ayala, author of the historical research book "Catastrophes and natural hazards in the Principality of Andorra".
"Libraries and archives: sources of climate information. The current anomaly with historical perspective"will address the meteorological phenomena and climate alterations that are occurring, through his historical research work, which involves emptying the local archives of the areas investigated by Dr. Mariano Barriendos, among them those of Andorra and the diocesan archive of the Seu d'Urgell.
Attendees will be able to delve into the concept of mega drought, the alterations in the economic activity of the affected areas, and how climate information is transmitted through ancestral documentation such as pariatges.
