How to get to Pas de la Casa from France
The RN20 (access from Ax-les-Thermes to Pas de la Casa) has reopened to traffic after the rockfall that forced its closure at the end of January. Safety works have now been completed, allowing traffic to resume, although with specific preventive measures in place.
In the coming months, additional temporary closures may be scheduled to complete further slope stabilization works.
New safety measures
French authorities have installed sensors that detect any movement of rocks. If a displacement is detected, a flashing red traffic light will automatically be activated before the risk area to stop traffic. Stopping is also prohibited along this entire section of the road.
